Dr. Borden attended James Madison University, where she received her degree in Speech Pathology with a minor in Biology, then went on to receive her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Virginia Commonwealth University.

After graduation, she completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at the Medical University of South Carolina and served as co-chief resident of the program. She focused on full mouth rehabilitations, implant restorations, and serving patients with special needs.

Dr. Borden is married and has two preschool age children, who keep her very busy! You often may run into one of them at the office- they love to come to work with her. 

She is the immediate past president of the Coastal District Dental Society, the local chapter of the American Dental Association. She is also a member of the Junior League of Charleston, and volunteers at the Florence Crittendon House. 

When not working, you might find her on the beach, tent camping, or cooking up a storm.
