Financial Policies

Cancellations and Missed Appointments

Your appointment time is reserved specifically for you and for you only. Unlike a high volume medical office, we maintain a small private practice where only one patient is seen at a time with their provider, providing individualized care and treatment. Because of this, missed appointments or late cancellations are extremely detrimental to our day and to other patients. As a result, we request at least 48 business hours advanced notice if you will not be able to make your appointment. After three canceled appointments within 48 hours, the patient will be asked to find a new dental home. After one no-show appointment, the patient may be asked to find a new office. We do understand that emergencies happen and try to accommodate these situations. Our text reminders start two weeks in advance and we encourage patients to use the reminder system to remember their appointment time.  Cancellations are not accepted via text, email, or over weekend hours.

Hygiene Appointments

There is a $50 missed appointment fee per hour for appointments missed or rescheduled within 48 hours, and $75 for new patient appointments. It is also our policy to not reschedule new patient exams that are missed or canceled within 24 hours.

Treatment Appointments

For appointments canceled within 48 hours, there will be a $50 per hour fee assessed to the patient in order to rebook the appointment, along with a 50-100% deposit of planned treatment which is to be applied to that appointment. If that appointment is canceled within 24 hours or the same day, or is a no-call, no-show, the entire deposit will be forfeited and not applied to any future treatment

Insurance Verification

In order to fully verify your insurance benefits, your insurance must be inputted to the account 48 hours prior to your appointment via new patient forms, email, or via phone call to the office. Any costs incurred due to insufficient policy information at the time of the appointment is patient responsibility. We are happy to verify your insurance as a courtesy, but please be aware that knowing your policy and your history is fully the patient's responsibility.

Payment

Payment in full for your treatment is due no later than when services are rendered. Acceptable forms of payment include cash, Apple Pay, Visa, Master Card, American Express, Discover, and assigned insurance benefits. In the event there is a shortage due to insurance underpayment, it is our policy to charge finance fees at 1.5% for outstanding patient balances after the balance has been outstanding for more than 30 days after you have been notified of a balance due. Payments returned due to non-sufficient funds will be subject to a NSF fee of $25.00.
